Becker, 75, of Bartelso, died Saturday, February 2, 2008, at his residence. He was born August 25, 1932, in Bartelso to Joseph and Otilliea (Hollenkamp) Becker and they preceded him in death. He married Helen Rehkemper on May 2, 1956, at St. Rose Catholic Church and she survives in Bartelso. Also surviving are his children, Brenda (Gervase) Eversgerd of Germantown, Brian (Carol) Becker of Germantown and Bonnie (Craig) Markwardt of Nashville; seven grandchildren, Tonia (John) Schroeder, Teresa (Josh) Haar, Luke (friend Jackie Hegger) Eversgerd, Kelly (friend Ryan Hipkins) Becker, Brittany Becker, Jessica Becker, Keith (fiancée April York) Markwardt; two great-grandchildren, Diesel Haar and Gavin Eversgerd; a brother, Roman (Friend Florence Goestenkors) Becker of Bartelso; sisters, Adele Rensing of St. Louis, Dorothy Weber of Bartelso and Emma (Don) McKee of Highland. Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Herbert Becker. He was a self employed Hog and Grain Farmer. He was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church, 50 Year Member of Clinton County Farm Bureau, Little Egypt Pork Producers, Bartelso Knights of Columbus Council 4745, and the Bartelso Young at Hearts Club. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday, February 5, at 2 p.m. at St. Cecilia Catholic Church with Fr. Henry Fischer officiating. Burial followed in St. Cecilia Cemetery. Moss Funeral Home in Germantown handled the arrangements.     3. Union Banner, Carlyle, IL, Apr 12, 2006, Page 2a/Col 2 William L. Kinder, 80 William L. Kinder, 80, died at his home on Sunday, April 2nd, 2006. Born May 14th, 1925, in Carlyle, he was the son of William and Mildred Kinder and they preceded him in death. He married Gloria Hanson-Dorn on May 22nd, 1987 and she survives. Along with his wife, he is survived by three sons, William Kinder of Florida, Dana Kinder of Alger, Wash. And Randy Kinder of Bellingham, Wash.; 13 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and Louise Ash-Kinder, his former wife. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Earl, David and Lyle Kinder. He was a Navy Veteran of WW II, having served as a Pharmacist's Mate, First Class in the South Pacific aboard the USS LSM 427. He graduated from Mesa College in Grand Junction, Colo. And after a short stint in teaching, he worked in sales for Montgomery Ward, moving to Bellingham, Wash. In the early 1950s. He worked for Montgomery Ward, Bellingham Hardware and retired from Sears. He loved life, friends family and especially loved a good laugh. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fly fishing and hunting various types of game. He was also a member of the Disabled American Veterans, VFW Post 1585, American Legion Post #7, Bellingham Elks Lodge #194, Moose Lodge #493, Eagles Club #31, the Bellingham Dixieland Jazz Club and the Soap Lake Businessman's Club, enjoying the dancing while vacationing there and the Central Lutheran Church. A Memorial Service was held at the Central Lutheran Church, on Friday, April 7th, at 12 p.m. with Rev. Tim Whitman officiating. Jerns Funeral Chapel and On-Site Crematorium in Bellingham handled the arrangements. Born Dec. 27th, 1919, in Shattuc,, she was the daughter of Clemens and Edna Heinzmann. She married Robert Everett Spivey and he preceded her in death in 1998. She is survived by her daughters,. Ann E. Heinrich of Nevada City, Calif. and Sara E. Spivey of Menlo Park; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and her sister, Helen Heinzmann Conn of Albuquerque, N.M. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Eugene and Herbert Heinzmann, all of Carlyle. She lived in Carlyle for many years and attended Carlyle High School. After moving to Cupertino, Calif. in 1966, she taught in the Cupertino Union School District for many years and was beloved by her students. She was an avid reader, active in her book club and gave many the lasting gift of love for reading books. Born Sept. 10th, 1923, in Clinton Co., he was the son of George Thomas and Mabel Cleo Yardley Quick. He married Mary F. Yates on Jan. 27th, 1951, in Clay Co., Ark., and she preceded him in death on Oct. 6th, 1998. Survivors include three daughters, Sarah Heihn of Austin, Texas, Rachel Provost of Lakeway, Texas, and Rebecca Quick of Minonk; two sons Robert Quick Jr. of Aledo, Texas, and Thomas Quick of Craig, Colo.; two brothers Carl Quick of Streator and Tom Quick of Blackstone; three sisters Dorothy Alf of Carlyle, Edna Chatman of Centralia and Lucille Abernathy of Bay St. Louis, Miss.; eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, the American Legion Post #142 and a life member of the Minonk V.F.W. Post 7185. He was a WW II U.S. Army veteran serving as an Aviator Engineer. He owned and operated the Quick Sunoco in Minonk for 15 years, then worked for the Minonk bakery in 1988, and retired from the Woodford County Housing in Minonk in 2005 where he was the maintenance manager. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a. m. on Saturday, March 11th at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Minonk with the Rev. Craig Swenson officiating. Burial will follow at Minonk Twp. Cemetery with military graveside rites. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, March 10th, at Calvert and Froelich Memorial Home in Minonk. Born May 24, 1910, in St. Rose, she was the daughter of Anna (Hoff) and Joseph Schrage, Sr. and they preceded her in death. On September 24, 1930, she married Bernard F. ""Barney"" Klostermann at St. Rose Church, in St. Rose, and he preceded her in death on February 9, 1971. Survivors include a daughter, Ruth (Herman) Haselhorst of Trenton; and two sons, Paul (Bonnie) Klostermann of Chesterfield, Mo. I have a lot of information about her ancestors. Her father, Clem, was a brother to my grandfather Otto. Born Nov. 1st, 1937, in Aviston, he was the son of Theodore and Katherine Zurliene Richter, Sr. and they preceded him in death. On May 12th, 1962, he married Theresa Potthast at St. ,Paul Catholic Church in Highland and she survives in St. Rose. Also surviving is his children, Roger Richter of St. Rose, Patty Lengermann of Highland, Dale Richter of St. Rose and Julie Wilken of Bartelso; 12 grandchildren; two brothers, Theodore Richter, Jr. of St. Rose and and Dennis Richter of Breese; and three sisters, Bernice Frerker of Breese, Norma Jansen of Albers, and Mary Jane Fuhler of St. Rose. He was a farmer and a truck driver for Metro-Ag and Wilke Truck Service in St. Rose. He was a member of St. Rose Church and Men's Sodality, the Clinton County Farm Bureau, , Prairie Farms Dairy Corp., and was a veteran of the United States Army. A funeral Mass of Christian burial was held Tuesday, March 28th, at 2 p.m. at St. Rose Catholic Church in St. Rose with Fr. Edward Schaefer officiating. Burial followed in St. Rose Cemetery. Moss Funeral Home in Breese handled the arrangements.

Born July 24th, 1908, near Summerfield, he was the son of Martin and Minnie Noll Faitz and they preceded him in death. He married Elsie Abel on Sept. 5th, 1931, in Montgomery City, Mo., and she preceded him in death on Sept. 18th, 1999. Survivors include a son, Dwight Faitz of St. Jacob; a daughter, JoAnn Tri of Brownsburg, Ind.; nine grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Along with his wife ,and parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Dale Tri; brothers, Arnold and Robert Faitz; and sisters, Blanche Junghans, Clara Heuberger and Martha Pope. He was a retired Illinois State Police Officer serving from 1941 to 1967. He was the oldest retired Illinois State Trooper and the oldest male citizen of Trenton. He was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Trenton, the Trenton Masonic Lodge AF and AM, the Illinois State Police Association, the Trenton meals on wheels and Lebanon Singing Society. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 30th, at 10 a.m. at St. John United Church of Christ in Trenton with Rev. Mark Buck officiating. Burial will follow in the Trenton cemetery. Visitation will be today, Wednesday, March 29th, from 4 to 9 p.m. and Thursday, March 30th, from 8 to 9:45 a.m. at the Moss Funeral Home in Trenton.

Born June 8th, 1954, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of Vernon and Fairlene Kirchhoefer Wiehe of Lake Centralia, formerly of New Minden, and her mother survives. Along with her mother, she is survived by two brothers, Ron and Jim Weihe of New Minden; and a sister, Tammy Rounds of New Minden. Along with her father, she was preceded in death by a brother in infancy, Timothy Weihe. She graduated from Nashville Community High School. She was a registered medical assistant in St. Louis, Mo., for many years. Along with her sister, she owned and operated the Blue Room Tavern in New Minden for many years. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in New Minden. She was an avid sports fan having played softball for the Nashville Pharmacy softball team. She enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews. In accordance to her wishes cremation was performed and a memorial service was held at Campagna Funeral Home in Nashville on Friday, July 7th, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Timothy Mueller .officiating. Campagna Funeral Home in Nashville handled the arrangements.

Wolters, 68, of Breese, passed away on Monday, March 6th, 2006, at the Carlyle Healthcare Center in Carlyle from complications due to a fall on Jan. 12th, 2006. Born Sept. 14th, 1937, in Highland, he was the son of Ben and Anna Mank Wolters and they preceded him in death. He married Rose Ann Gretzmacher on June 13th, 1964, at St. Anthony Church in Beckemeyer and she preceded him in death on July 8th, 1982. His surviving loved ones are his two daughters, Milissa Riley and husband Tom of Chicago and Kathy Stevenson and husband Mike of Posey; his life was blessed with four grandchildren, Shanay and Cody Stevenson and Andrew and Nicole Riley; two brothers Otto Wolters and wife Dorothy of Aviston and Ray Wolters of Trenton; and two sisters Henrietta Beckmann of Aviston and Sally Barth of St. Rose. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Dean Alan Wolters; three brothers, Bernard, Edward and Victor Wolters; and three sisters, Mary Ann Becker, Sylvia Becker and Edna Rosen. He enjoyed the companionship of some great friends Steve and Charlie and Wib Voss. He proudly served in the U.S. Army beginning in Jan. 1960, and was honorably discharged in December of 1966. He worked at St. Joseph Hospital in Highland, was a self employed painter and upon retiring from Germantown Egg Company, he enjoyed babysitting for his grandson, Cody. He was a member of the Beckemeyer American Legion Post 1227 where he once held the position of Sergeant at Arms. He enjoyed sitting under a shade tree and visiting with friends and loved ones, he was a loyal fan of the St. Louis Cardinals all his life. He also loved Hardee's double cheeseburgers with a slice of tomato and a cold Pepsi. Funeral services were held today, Wednesday, March 8th, at 10:00 a.m. at Moss Funeral Home in Breese with Pastor Al Simonson officiating. He was born in Carlyle on February 14, 1928, the son of Darrell W. Reynolds and Catherine Buchholz. He married Evelyn D. "Peaches" Taylor on July 12, 1952, in Piggott, Ark. and she survives. Along with his wife, he is survived by five daughters, Mary Catherine "Cathy" (John) Vander Pluym of St. Louis, Shirley Ann (Dan) O'Loughlin of Decatur, Marilyn Lee (Tim) Scharleman of Pevely, Mo., Brenda Sue Reynolds of Anchorage, Alaska, and Doris Kay (Gordon) Johnson, of St. Louis; a sister, Shirley Ann King of Palm Dessert, Cal.; two brothers, Donald Ray Reynolds of Maryland and James Thomas Reynolds of Pensacola, Fla.; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, John Earl Reynolds. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Carlyle, the American Legion Post #404 of Carlyle, served in the U.S. Navy in the Asian Pacific Theater during W W II, and was retired from General Motors. Funeral services were held Saturday, September 15, at 10:30 a.m. at the Frerker Funeral Home in Carlyle with Fr. George Mauck officiating.
