I am currently searching for information on several lines of my wifes family tree. Would anyone have information on the Songer family of Clay county. Samuel Songer was born in Virginia, and married Elizabeth Jane Whitman who was born in Kentucky. They had saveral children. I think all were born in Songer Township, in Clay county, IL. I am especially interested in their daughter Frances Ann Songer who was born in 1841. I am also interested in James F. Davis and his wife Amanda E. Adams who moved to Clay county and had a daughter named Malinda C. Davis sometime around 1865. Any information, on any of the above named people, would be greatly appreciated.
