Jackson folk I guess I owe all an apology. I had been led to believe that my Samuel Jackson's father was Robert, brother of Pres. Andrew Jackson. Andrew Jackson researchers inform me that his brothers died young with no known children. If that is the case, let me backtrack. I am trying to find the parent of my Samuel Jackson, b c 1805, in KY, d Jul 28, 1864 in Clay Co, IL. He married in 1830 to Rebecca Speaks (daughter of ???), also born in KY c 1812, and died 1868 in Clay Co, IL. I can find a William Jackson who married 25 Feb. 1820 to a Rebecca Speaks, in Casey Co, KY. This Rebecca b 1792-1825 is supposed to be the daughter of Basil Speaks (b Charles Co, MD ) and Elizabeth Kinnet both of Washington Co, KY. My question is are William and Samuel Jackson related? If so, who are their parents-and if not who are their parents? Did this Rebecca Speaks marry both? Is the Rebecca Speaks who married Samuel Jackson the daughter of Basil? Thanks for all of your help.
