    3. To those working on the Ingraham family in IL, There is history of them in the Book " Genealogical Guide to the Early Settlers of America. Mine is in there and they came on to IL. Mine is Elizabeth Ingraham b. in early 1600's came to America between 1638-1642, with her father (Richard Ingraham to Rohoboth, Mass b.?, he d. 16 Aug, 1683 at Northhampton, Mass, he is son of Sir Arthur Ingraham, b. 1595-1600, married ? Mallory and this Sir Arthur Ingraham's father has the same name, & b. 1570 d. 1655, then his father is Randolph Ingraham . Randolph, son of Ingeliam, English ancester, 1138. The book mentioned above has this about them, { " The name from a parish in the hundred of Hoppin, County of Norfolk, Eng. A town on low ground , meadow or pasture. }Ingram, Ingraham-- from Saxon Engel, angel and rein, pure as an angel. My Ancestor Elizabeth Ingraham, married 4 Aug. 1647, to Richard Bullock, b. 1622, Essex County, Eng. d. 22 Nov. 1667 Rehoboth, Mass. the next generation is their son Samuel Bullock b. 1648, d. 1717, Rehoboth, Mass, m. Thankful Rouse, 26 May 1675. The next gen. is their son Seth Bullock, b. 26 Sept. 1693, m. 18 Jan. 1718, Swansea, Mass to Experience Salisbury. next gen. is their daug. Hannah, b. 1730, Rehoboth, Mass, m. 25 Mar. 1753, to Benjamin Franklin Smith, b. 4 July 1731, Rehoboth, Mass d. 1794, next gen. their son with the same name, Benjamin Franklin Smith, b. 9 Sept. 1760, a Rev. War. vet. and WAS THE ANCESTOR WHO CAME TO ( Wabash or Edwards County IL), he married 31 Dec. 1787 at Attleboro, MA, to Levinia Ormsbee, b. 1760-1770 Rehoboth, MA, Benjamin F. died,. 8 Dec. 1838, Edwards Co. IL, He is my ancestor in the Daughters of the Revolution, (I am Erma Lee (Judkins) Masters. To continue the generations of my line is, a son of Benjamin F. & Levinia (Ormsbee) Smith, he is Ransler VanBuren Smith b. 25 June 1789, NY, died, 1841, Evansville, IN, married Mary Jane (Polly) Osgood, 1st. marriage, they came to Wabash Co. IL from NY, then their daughter, Rosella Smith, married Abner Turner, (source 1850 Wabash Co. IL census ). next gen. their son McDonel- McDonald Turner, m. Melvina E. Weir, 1873, White Co. IL, she died 10 years later in 1883, White Co. IL, Then their daughter is my grand mother, Nellie M. (Turner) Gray, m. Charlie M. Gray, in Pope Co. AR. next gen. Bessie S. (Gray) m. Walter Roy Judkins, in Pope Co. AR, last gen. me. Erma Lee (Judkins) Masters. Hope this helps some one, on the Ingraham's.
