Amanda PORTER was mentioned in one of the recent postings as being a child in the household of Andrew PORTER. Amanda married my relation Joseph A.OLIVER at Clay Co on Jan 21, 1872. Then on Feb 26, 1879 Amanda E. OLIVER married Isaac W. FLESHMAN of Oskaloosa. The birthplace of both Amanda and Isaac is given as Bartholomew Co, IN. The marriage record further states that Amanda's parents were Andrew PORTER and Mary COX. If anyone knows what happenned to Joseph OLIVER or if he and Amanda had any children, please let me know. Joseph was a son of Wesley and Mahala WILSON OLIVER of nearby Omega, Marion Co, IL. I guess that if they had children they would be living in the FLESHMAN household in Oskaloosa but I dont have the 1880 census for that township. Ray Oliver in St. Louis
