John R BLACKBURN was born in May 1857 in Ohio. His parents were Eli F. BLACKBURN and Arilla RILEY. He, his parents, and siblings moved to Clay Co, IL by 1871. John R. BLACKBURN m. Alice BOYD about 1885. Children of John and Alice were: Ella A BLACKBURN, b. 1886 m. George PILMAN 7/31/1904 in Clay Co. William J. BLACKBURN, b. Dec 1892 in Clay Co. Pearl A. BLACKBURN, b. Sep 1894 in Clay Co. Alice apparently died between 1894 and 1898, because John m. Mary Frances (nee JENNINGS) MANNING about 1898. John is known to be alive in early 1906, but 1910 census listed Mary Frances as widowed. Mary Frances had two brothers who lived in Clay Co, Ewing McDondald JENNINGS and Cary Wesley JENNINGS. Eli BLACKBURN and Arilla RILEY are buried in Elmwood Cemetery in Flora. If anyone has any additional information on this family, or descendants, please contact me. Thanks for reading...
