    1. HOKE
    2. Joyce Vetter
    3. Hi everyone, I am researching the HOKE family. I would appreciate any information on this family. 1. Samuel Hoke b: 1797 in Penn. I found him next in Bullitt County, Ky. married to Susan LOVELACE Sept. 9, 1826. I'm fairly sure they lived for awhile in Jefferson County, Ky. There are alot of Hoke's in that region. Samuel and Susan moved to Indiana and had 3 sons between 1832 and 1841. They were in Illinois by 1845 where Susan dies. Samuel marries a Martha (Patsy) MCKNIGHT Nov. 15, 1846 in Clay County, Illinois. I'm pretty sure McKnight must of been married prior to this because a whole bunch of McKnight children move into the home. Samuel and Martha then they start their own family with children born between 1847 and 1850. All of the children were born in Illinois but Samuel did manage to move to Iowa and Missouri and then back to Illinois before he dies around 1890. He may have been married prior to his first wife but I have no proof of this. His children are: possibly: 1. Reason 2. Cornelius for sure: Samuel Richard Hillakier Abraham Sarah E. Letha James H. Searching, Joyce

    1. McCraw/Toliver/Franklin/Phillips connection
    2. Wanda Pitt
    3. Hi, I finally found my notes on other Tolivers. Do they connect with yours? See attachment. This is how my family connects in Clay Co., IL: I suspect that Mary Franklin was a dtr of Henry Franklin and Catherine Stansbury. She married Pleasant McCraw, had two children, then died. Pleasant McCraw married Elizabeth Tackett and their dtr Cornelia McCraw married James H. Toliver, son of Ransom Toliver and Leanner Brimberry. Phebe/Feby Franklin was also dtr of Henry Franklin and Catherine Stansbury. She married Henry Phillips (son of John P. Phillips and Permelia Stallings). Phebe and Henry were both dead by 1857. Their son John Henry Phillips (my g-gf) was raised by Henry Franklin and Catherine Stansbury. John Henry Phillips' uncle, Wright Phillips (son of John P. Phillips and Permelia Stallings) married Rossey Jane Toliver 8-10-1848 in Clay Co, IL. Aren't all these Tolivers in Clay Co., IL related? Sure hope someone can help me with info on the Toliver family. Thanks Wanda
