    1. [ILCLAY-L] TRAVIS-MOSELEY Cemetery, Clay City Twp
    2. Below is an updated listing of the Bunny Travis (Moseley) Cemetery. It differs slightly from previously published data; this information was taken directly from the stones at the conclusion of our cemetery clean up day on Saturday, November 7, 1998. Aprroximately 15 members of the Moseley and Travis families participated in this effort. The work was easily accomplished thanks to the major advance efforts of Clay County residents Doug Shaffer (and his 3 sons) and his uncle, Zane Moseley. These men cut down 8 major dead trees, cleaned out other fallen trees , "whacked" a lot of weeds, mowed, etc. In spite of being "lost" for many years, the stones in this cemetery are in surprisingly good shape. Remarkably, several of the 8 dead trees had fallen; some live trees had fallen but none hit any stones. Only one stone is broken. Almost every stone has an accompanying "foot" stone. There appears to be numerous other unmarked burials and research continues to identify as many of them as possible. 1. [ILCLAY-L] Family Group Sheets Available
    2. Ted Cash
    3. The Family Group Sheets input form is available for your use at the Bond, Clay, and Will Co USGenWeb sites. Click on the "Queries & Surnames" page, then "Family Group Sheets", then "Enter your Family Group Sheets" to actually enter your information. This form is about 42KB in size, so it might take a few seconds. It has the ability to enter information for mother, father, and 15 children, plus a Notes / Documentation section at the bottom. Events are birth, marriage, death, burial with input areas for date and places. Please read the "Instructions" when first entering the form. At the bottom of the page is a "Submit" button, which will e-mail me the information you have entered. I will periodically update the webpages. Make sure that at least one birth, marriage, death or burial occurred in Bond, Clay, or Will Co, respectively, or the message will not be posted. This is a new application involving javascript (a first for me). I tested it out and believe it is okay, but let me know if you have any problems. Let those Family Group Sheets start flowing. 3. FYI - This message is being sent to all persons who have posted to, or are on the mailling list for Bond Co, Clay Co and Will Co, IL USGenWeb site This message will serve a couple of purposes: 1) To let you know that there is now a "Search this site" page on the website. It will search all webpages on the site and return a list of pages with the "text" that you are looking for. It is a new function available from Rootsweb, and is still in test. I have found that it sometimes misses pages, so you may still want to use other search functions as well, such as Surname Helper. 2) It's that time of year to check for all valid e-mail addresses. After sending this message (no need to reply), I will know whether or not your e-mail address is still functional. I will delete all posted messages that do not have a valid e-mail address. 3) Volunteers Needed!! If you have any type of research material about the county, and would be willing to do lookups for others, please let me know. We always need more volunteers, especially with new material. 4) I would be interested in knowing if you'd be interested in posting a "Family Group Sheet" of your families in the county. Let me know if you're interested -- but, don't send the information yet. If there is sufficient interest I will setup a page to submit it online.
