Good Luck in Christian County! My cousin who lives near there in Montgomery County has terrible luck there and I did many years ago when I went there. They had tons of old material tossed into a dusty, dirty just spoiling. Won't let any one in to search anymore. Are very unfriendly and uncooperative when you are seeking information. I understand Fayette is very helpful and I know they have a nice library. Shelby County Genealogy is nice I understand. Sure wish someone would light a fire under Christian County government offices. It is a shame to see records being lost and unable to be seen with so many people doing genealogy work today. The genealogy society in Christian County is very small and doesn't have much information in it. The people are nice. They are volunteers. Hope you aren't going from too far away. Maybe someone will send you the hours before you go. You might find more in Springfield. I grew up in Montgomery County and have been back to search there. The records in the courthouse there are in good shape. I hope to go to Shelby County myself the next time I go back to "home ground" since I have found some things to research there.
