But I'll keep the info in my file and we may yet make a connection. Sometimes the puzzle is to eliminate clues, which ultimately narrows the search until you eventually hit an answer. I appreciate your help Sally Neely << RE: WILLIAM P. DAVIS OR HANNAH FOSTER I don't know how much this will help. William P. Davis 1835-1909 appear on his tombstone in Linwood Cemetery, Pana, IL. His wife was Hannah Foster 1843-1911 and is buried beside him. Marion Co. 1870 census lists a Wm. P. Davis age 35 born in TN with Hannah age 29 born TN. Their birthplace and names of the children listed on this census is suspect. The children we know about were John, Maude, Myrtle, Nellie. We are uncertain about John, but the daughters married names were Underwood, Elliott, Gilman...if any of this rings any bells, please let me know. Thanks, Sarajane Zorn >>
