George m Louise CHURCH, Stephen E m Mary Cathern SHADE Aug 1855 in Mechanicksberg (reg in Springfield), Phillip Nelson m Mary Ann BALDWIN Sept 1859 in Ch Co,Samuel M m Ellen MILER Oct 1861,Emanual m Zelpha ?, & Edward M not married. All six joined Co A IL 73rd Infantry Regiment at Camp Butler in Aug 1862. John T. SHADE was also in Co A. George was killid in Dec 1862 & Edward was killed in Jan 1863. Stephen & Mary Cathern had 5 girls, Sarah, Alice,Elizabeth "Lizzy", Hattie, & Luetta "Etta": moved to Holliday in Shelby Co 1873? Mary Cathern died 8 Jan1875, buried ?
