Dec 1884 Wayne Co, Illinois married 21 Sept 1811 Jefferson Co, KY Jonathan H. LEATHERS b.1788 Orange Co, Virginia d. abt1837 Orange Co, Indiana. Jonathan LEATHERS was lilled when a tree he was cutting fell on him. Elizabeth went to Wayne Co, Illinois with her children. One of her children was my Nelson L. LEATHERS who married Eliza Jane MONTGAL. They were maternal ancestors of my maternal grandmother Janie Mae (STOGSDILL) MARSH. My paternal grandfather's Quaker ancestors LUPTON and his HIMES, MOSE, CHESHIRE and other ancestors came into the Christian and Shelby Co, ILL area early. I searched the Illinois marriage index and didn't find them there. I was needing to know if the church records would show this and how to obtain a copy if they where found there. JAMES was born in Morgan County, Illinois and CHARITY JOHANNA was born in Indiana. They are buried in Bilyeu cemetery, Shelbyville, Illinois.
