This is in response to Jan PALMER's posting to this list yesterday. Although I do not find the names Chesley A. DICKERSON or Malinda A RIDGEWAY in my database, here is information about my DICKERSON family that lived in Christian Co., IL. Since DICKERSON is a relatively uncommon name, there may be a connection. FATHER: William DICKERSON/DICKINSON was born November 29, 1792 in IN or WI, and died Bet. 1839 - 1850. He married Nancy CORN October 05, 1815 in Franklin Co., IN. MOTHER: Nancy CORN was born Abt. 1796 in KY, and died October 25, 1878 in probably Pana, Christian Co., IL. Burial: Coal Creek Cemetery, Pana, Christian Co., IL. Head of household in 1850. Residence: Lawrence T.S., Marion Co., IN, 1850 NOTE: October 1, 1999, another researcher wrote, "my guess is she [Nancy] is a descendent of Andrew Corn and wife Truman (first name unknown). They married in about 1785 in Kentucky. Their son Hiram Corn b 1787 migrated to Franklin Co., IL and his son James Akin Corn married in Franklin Co, but lived in Christian Co., IL." CHILDREN: 1. Oliver DICKERSON, born December 19, 1816. He married [female]. 2. George Fountain DICKERSON, born September 20, 1818 in IN; died December 03, 1863 in Pana, Christian Co., IL. He married Elizabeth MCCASLIN Abt. 1839; born Abt. 1816 in KY; died Aft. 1859. It appears that George migrated to Christian Co., IL, by 1850, and other family members followed after that time. 3. Judith DICKERSON, born September 05, 1820. 4. Merit DICKERSON, born October 01, 1822 in IN; died June 17, 1852. Occupation: Farmer 5. Ruth Ann DICKERSON, born December 1824 in IN. She married Milton DUTTON September 28, 1852 in Shelby Co., IL; born Abt. 1830 in OH. Milton's occupation: Farm laborer. 6. Thursy DICKERSON, born December 2, 1826. 7. Mary DICKERSON, born July 14, 1829. 8. Oscar DICKERSON, born July 29, 1831 in IN. He married Martha; born Abt. 1841 in IN. Oscar's occupation: Farmer 9. Evelime DICKERSON, born October 17, 1833 in IN. 10. Nancy Anna "Anna" DICKERSON, born February 13, 1836 in IN; died April 02, 1926 in Pana, Christian Co., IL. She married (1) John R. CLOE; born Abt. 1834 in IN; died 1876 in probably Pana, Christian Co., IL. She married (2) Matthias "Silas" MOUNT January 17, 1882 in Shelby Co., IL; died Bef. April 02, 1926. John R.
