MORRIS A lifelong resident of Rufus, Oregon, born December 11, 1888 in Christian County, Illinois, passed away at a local hospital Monday [Dec. 24] at age 85. A member of the Elks Lodge No. 303, Masonic Lodge in Wasco [Oregon], Annie Fulton Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star, Rufus Grange and the Shrine. Survived by his wife, Minnie L. Morris of Rufus; 4 daughters, Mrs. Ray (Jean) Brown of Condon [Oregon], Mrs. Ron (Marjorie) Klock of Portland, Mrs. Bill (Betty) Myers of Nyssa, Oregon and Mrs. Frank (Lila) Adams of The Dalles, 2 sons, Joe of The Dalles and Bob of Rufus; 3 sisters Mrs. Clara Macnab of The Dalles, Mrs. Jessie Langford of Palouse, Washington and Miss Nellie Morris of The Dalles, 18 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Spence and Libby Funeral Home Thursday at 11 a.m., Rusty Kimsey officiating. Interment Sunrise Cemetery in Wasco. Honorary Casket Bearers will be Lloyd Taylor, Harland McDonald, Kenneth Spagle, Leonard Jordan, Tracy Fields and Bob Davis. Active Casket Bearers will be Harvey Hanson, Milt Tumilson, Jerry Coleman, Bill Macnab, Bert Swigart and Stuart Macnab.
