The only information I have is my g.grandfather, William Henry Mayes, was born in Berry Illinois in May of 1850. This could also be a missspelling and it could be Barry Illinois in Pike County. According to WILLIAM HENRY MAYES' death certificate his father was Henry. I have found a census that shows WILLIAM HENRY MAYES' father was born in Tennessee. His mother MARY MAYES was born in Kentucky around 1821. Desperate on any information anyone can provide. Does any of the above fit with anyone in Christian County?
