The following is from The Report of the Adjutant General of the State of Illinois, Volume VII, Containing Reports for the Years 1861-1866: History of One Hundred and Forty-Fifth Infantry----The One Hundred and Forty-Fifth Infantry was mustered into the United States service at Camp Butler, June 9, 1864. Strength, 880. Departed for the field June 12, 1864. Was mustered out at Camp Butler September 23, 1864. There is more info about the "One Hundred Day Men"--also complete roster of companies.
