Hello Christian County Family, For the past few days I have been looking for an Eva Blackburn listed with one of my families in the 1870 census... 1870 Illinois, Christian County, Pana P. O. 89/81 Alexander, John 43 Butcher Ohio Elizabeth 39 PA George 20 Musician Ohio Blackburn, Eva 11 MO Russell, Jessie 29 IL I have no idea who she is or why she may be with the family. I am assuming Jessie is a hired hand since the Alexander's owned a smoke shop and had several people working for them. John Alexander married Elizabeth Ann Bond in McConnellsville, Ohio in 1848. I cannot find any Bond's that may be connected to the Blackburn's. I know none of my Alexander's married Blackburn's or that any extended family did. I cannot find John and Elizabeth Alexander in the 1880 census. I know that the two John's buried in Oak Hill Cemetery are not him. I have both their death records. I have all my other Alexander's that are buried in Pana Mound and Coal Creek. They are not with them. I am hoping Eva Blackburn is the link. I figured by the 1880 census Eva Blackburn in married and she did not marry in Illinois by the index. Any help with this mystery would be truly appreciated. Sincerely, Stephanie
