I am 61 and started on the computer at age 55. I have been doing genealogy research for ca 25 years. My great, great grandfather Daniel E. Walker and his wife Rachael Miller and all of their 8 children came to IL in 1839 and settled in Sangaman County and then were in Christian County in the 1850 census. I have been working on them for over 20 years and I am so glad I found you nice people. I do not have a URL and I do not understand the concept. None of my information is on the computer and I have been wanting to start sharing my information but did not know where to start or how to start. I have a great, great, great uncle that lived all of his adult life in Christian County. He died in 1911 and was the first person to be buried in the Oak Hill Abbey at Oak Hill Cemetery. I have an obituary from the Breeze Currier but the print is reversed. The back ground is black and the print is white. The man is J. P.(James Parker) Walker. There is a picture of him and a picture of the new Mausoleum but they do not show up. I would like to have a picture of my uncle and one of the Oat Hill Abbey. I will send a copy of the article to you to put in your records. Sincerely,

He lived in Wichita,Kansas 1972-1974 to the best of my knowledge.I was born in1973 and he was 23 years of age. My mother's name was Joyce Springwater she has passed away and never would give me any info on John.Thank You for any info.
I can help you with some information, and may be able to put you in contact with others who can provide more information on the Connollys. I've been researching my own O'Heren family line for several years. Ruth Connolly (wife of Philip) was an O'Heren. I've recently (over the past four years or so) connected with several of my own "cousins" who live right there in the general area and they have been wonderful about sending information, photographs, etc. One cousin recently notinced that Ned Connolly had passed away and read about it soon enough to attend the funeral. There she made contact with Ned's daughter, who is also interested in genealogy. We have been in email contact with one another. Email me directly, and I'll pass on what information I have that you might be interested in. Hope to hear from you soon, Heather airplane@foxinternet.com ----- Original Message ----- From: "Janine Crandell" <manderly@bitwiser.com> To: <ILCHRIST-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, March 15, 2003 9:12 AM Subject: [ILCHRIST] Connollys and Wondroks > Hi Everyone, > > I am reserching the Connollys who lived in Taylorville and owned the > Connolly-McClure Funeral home in Taylorville. Hi Everyone, I am reserching the Connollys who lived in Taylorville and owned the Connolly-McClure Funeral home in Taylorville. I believe the Funeral Home is now called the McClure Funeral Home. Specifically, there was a Philip Connolly and his sister, Susan (married Wesley Wondrok with children Donald and Mary Catherine), who lived in Taylorville a number of years ago. Philip was a funeral director and his wife was named Ruth. If anyone is related to the Connollys or knows any Connollys, I would love to exchange family history information with you!! I thank you and my ancestors thank you, Janine

I would suggest checking for an estate or probate packet. Death records, as such, weren't kept in the time frame you're interested in. Land records were though, and if he owned property his death date should show up there. Good luck, Elizabeth
