Thompson P. Kipper married Rebecca Elliott; they lived near Mt. Auburn from about 1850 until about 1885 when Thompson died there. They raised seven children, James R., Elizabeth(my GGrandmother; she married James Taylor), Amanda(married Clem Wiley), Mary, John, Ellen, Adell(married Somebody Summers) and Cordelia (married Davis, maybe Henry). Does anyone have information or burial location for any of these Kippers? Thank you, Marilyn Taylor Clark

You say his widow had a sale---this was probably a forced sale following his death and a record of the court orders would be in the probate record, which might be available through the LDS on film. I have found that somewhere in the probate files it usually states that "the deceased died on or about..." and gives the date. Good luck, Juli

Hi Sally, I can tell you about this one: > Old Stonington Cem > > Jackson, Ida O 10-8-19 58 I am sorry I don't have the little article very well sourced. I know she was William and "Lizzie" Claussen's dau from several census listings, her death cert., and William and Lizzie's obits. She and Albert had no children. Good luck with your research! Juli Claussen Generation No. 1 1. ALBERT E.1 JACKSON was born abt. 1869 in probably Christian County, Illinois, and died January 16, 1948 in Moweaqua, Shelby County, Illinois1. He married IDA O. CLAUSSEN Bef. 1917, daughter of WILLIAM CLAUSSEN and SARAH Elizabeth ARTHUR. I believe she was also known as "FLORENCE". She was born June 18, 1869 in Illinois, and died October 08, 1958 in Decauter, Macon Co., Illinois2. Notes for ALBERT E. JACKSON: A.E. Jackson with wife Florence (Clauson) Jackson is listed in the PRAIRIE FARMER Membership Book for Christian County, Illinois, 1918. At this time were tenants living at the "Jim Dinkins Farm" at R. 1, Prairieton township (?), Moweaqua, Sec 32. The farm was 190 acres, and A.E. Jackson indicated he became a citizen of the county in 1869, which may be at his birth or shortly thereafter. He was 79 years of age at his death, according to an undated death notice from the Decauter newspaper. He is buried at Old Stonington Cemetery, but I believe there is no marker at present. Notes for FLORENCE IDA O. CLAUSSEN: Florence Claussen Jackson's birth place is listed on her death certificate as Champaign Co., Illinois, although it seems more likely to have been Christian County. She is likely the "Flora Classon" living with her Aunt, Melvina and John H. Yockey, while attending school in 1880, and referred to in a letter written by John. She had no children. She and her husband are living near Mowequea in 1918, at the "Jim Dinkins Farm" as tenants, according to the PRAIRIE FARMER, Christian County Members Book. She lived her last 7 years in Decatur, and died in Mabel's Nursing Home there, where she apparently lived with her sister Ella. Florence is buried at Old Stonington Cemetery, Christian County, Illinois. Endnotes 1. Obit of Albert E. Jackson. 2. Gravemarker and death certificate of Ida O. Jackson.
