IL Census. His family had moved back to Clinton Co. KY by the early 1870's. He had five daughters, born between 1867 and 1880, with the first two born in 1867 and 1869 in Illinois. The third daughter was born in KY in 1871, so their stay in Christian Co. IL was probably 5 years. John M. Looper was a Civil War soldier on the Union side in the 13th KY Cavalry, Co. E. Wondering what would have taken the family to Illinois? Many Clinton Co. KY people left after the Civil War and settled elsewhere.

Hello again, I had copies made of some photo's my grandma had had copied- they made my prints from the negatives for $7.00. The pictures that I had copied that were not from negatives were a little pricey- not over and above any other photographis studio. I spent ~ $150 and every penny worth it. Shelly
Thanks Shelly for the address. How expensive are they? Is it a reasonable price or will I need to take out a loan :) Patty Root Torrance, CA Keepsakes By Patty Memory Book Designer Creating Custom Designed Albums from your photos! www.keepsakesbypatty.com Creating Keepsakes One Page At A Time

Is there a website for a genealogy society in Christian County? Also, does anyone know where I could purchase cemetery inscription books for Christian County, and the costs? Thanks! Alicia AW Morgason
I went on a genealogy tour a couple of summers ago. One of my stops was Pana and we did stop at Mrosco Studios. They had folders of my relatives surnames of photo's that had been recopied or taken by them, and I did have a number of them printed for genealogical purposes. The prices were reasonable. (for a photographic studio,.......). Good luck!!! Shelly
It used to be in Taylorville and the name was Visions by Mrosko I will check and see if they are still around. ----- Original Message ----- From: <skoontz92@earthlink.net> To: <ILCHRIST-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, July 19, 2003 7:13 AM Subject: [ILCHRIST] Re: Mrosco Studios? > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > Classification: Query > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/gg.2ADE/213.1 > > Message Board Post: > > The Mrosco Studio that I know of is in Pana, IL in Christian county. > 222 N 2600 East Rd. > 217-562-4422 > Hope that this helps. > Shannon > > > ==== ILCHRIST Mailing List ==== > Have you backed up your data lately? > > ============================== > To join Ancestry.com and access our 1.2 billion online genealogy records, go to: > http://www.ancestry.com/rd/redir.asp?targetid=571&sourceid=1237 >
