There's a Borden family in Portsmouth, R.I. Benjamin Borden, 1, born May 1649, died after 1718, married Sept.22, 1670 Abigail Grover of N. J., lived in Monmouth Co., N. J. Richard Borden, bap. at Headcorn, County Kent, England, Feb.22, 1595/6, d. at Porthsmouth, R. I., 1671, married at Headcorn Sept 28, 1625, Joan Fowle, emigrated from Cranbrook to New England in 1637/8. He is buried in the burial ground of the Society of Friends at Portsmouth. Hope this helps.
