I asked Vermilion Co. webmaster about getting a township map up. As of yet, no one has. Also from comments, I need to put the surrounding counties on the map and will do so when I get time. Cemeteries in Champaign County - if they are not on line and I have been putting some on as time permits - most of them have been transcribe by the DAR in the early 1970's. Those hand typed and/or handwritten transcriptions are available from the Champaign Co. Historical Archives, 201 S. Race St., Urbana, Il 61801. You will have to include a SASE and ask them to check the indexes. There is a web searchable database that sometimes works and sometimes doesn't but has no explanation written for it because of politics in the Archives. But if you can get the searchable database to work and want more information, you will have to write the Archives or possibly phone them for a simply look-up. I lost the web site when my computer crashed and I had to rebuild it. Does anyone out there, still have it bookmarked. ---------------- Joan Lund j-lund@uiuc.edu
