Wondering if anyone has any info on a Roberts Cafe that was in downtown Urbana until at least 1940. It was operated by Joseph Eli Roberts and his wife Nancy Elmira Jones Roberts. They were both originally from Marion County, IL. They were in Urbana at least as early as 1910, although I have no idea when they started running the cafe. Joseph also had 2 brothers that were in Champaign County in 1910. Volney Washington Roberts (he may have been known as Jack) was in Pesotum. John Owens Roberts was in Thomasboro. Joesph Eli Roberts (1876-1958) m. Nancy Elmira Jones (1879-1959) dau. Beulah m. Unknown White Volney Washington Roberts (1869-1914) married/children?= unknown John Owens Roberts (1879-1924) married/children?= unknown Any info on the cafe or this Roberts family would be appreciatted.
