Thank you for your reply. I am not sure if I am a descendant of Benjamin Springer. All I have is my great-grandfathers name, George W. Springer born in Ohio. I have contacted several cousins, but no one has any information on the Springer's. I haven't checked any of the census for IL yet. I just found out a few days ago that my grandmother was born in Urbana. We live in a small town and it will take a few weeks to get the microfilm. I will be glad to share information, but unfortunately I have very little more to share. I do have some of my grandmother's sibling's names that were listed on the Texas census. My grandmother was living with her daughter in Modesto, CA when she died, Dec. 27, 1950.
