Hey Folks, It's been a while since I have made a search for my family on this list. I've decided to try a different route. I am searching for any Pittman (one "t" or 2) who has ancestry from Piatt or Champaign counties, IL. In the 1860 census for Blue Ridge Twp. I found 3 distinct Pittman families, mine which is headed by Aaron F(ord) Pittman and his wife Catharine (Bake) Pittman, a J. B. Pittman with wife (I assume) Lauretta and a John and Louisa Pittman. My Aaron F. and Catharine were from OH. J. B. and Lauretta were also from OH. John and Louisa were from NY. There was also another Pittman family in Mahomet, Champaign co., IL who were originally from OH that I think might be related. In the 1855 or 1865 ( I screwed up and didn't ge the info down too well on those copies) there is a Charles Pitman. If anyone on this list connects to any of these families or if you know anyone in the area with a Pit(t)man surname, I would like to know. Maybe as a group we can sort out our family
