Hi Janet... Like you I have little, but some information... and have checked a little there in Illinois as well as Ohio. Her husband Samuel Moon came from Ohio as did the Springers as well as Indiana... there is quite a bit of information but I have never found my Emily... It is my opinion that Samuel Moon was perhaps not her first husband which is why the name would be in my baby book and little information known as when I traced him I found two other wives... one in Ohio and one in Illinois. Back then that was common~ but always I have grieved about this missing ancestor. So am thrilled to learn whatever I can about the Springer family. I think perhaps they were Quakers... there were two brothers in Illinois ~ I will keep your name and see what I can find when I go back to Los Angeles. I suspect that we are related but quite a ways back. I found a 5th generation cousin recently... his ggggrandmother was my gggggrandfather's sister... and ironicallly he lives in Modesto~ small world, especially now with the Internet. hugs, Jeanne
