She was born in Thurles, County Tipperary, Ireland between 1815-1821. She married John LOWRY on June 3, 1848, in Thurles. The family emigrated to America in about 1865 and first resided in Peotone, Will County, Illinois. In 1871 they migrated to Crittenden Twp., Champaign County, Illinois. Margaret died on February 24, 1887, in Tolono, Champaign County, Illinois. She was buried in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Tolono. Margaret (nee NOLAN) LOWRY had a brother, John NOLAN, who also emigrated to America. His life has been somewhat confusing to me and a few other researchers due to the abundance of "John Nolan's". I believe that John was born in 1815 in County Tipperary. I believe he married Ann DERMODY, but I cannot prove this relationship. John and Ann, I believe, were located in Wilmington, Will County, Illinois, and died there. Ann died in about 1866 and John died in about 1883. Between 1870-1879, I believe John relocated to Crittenden Twp., Champaign County, Illinois. This fact is found in a book entitled, "The Family of Matthew Jennett". John and Ann's daughter, Mary Ann NOLAN, married James JENNETT, son of Matthew JENNETT, in Champaign County on January 17, 1876. With regard to your relatives, John NOLAN, and his sister, Ellen NOLAN, I have a few questions: 1. Who are their parents and grandparents? 2. Where is Ivesdale? Is it in Champaign County, IL? 3. You say that John is now 97 years of age. How much family history does he remember? Thanks! Kevin Miller --part1_bc.1f31fefe.29607d30_boundary--
