Hi I sent for a copy of my great grandfather's death certificate (died 1958 in Champaign). The IL Dept Public Health sent back a certified statement that they could not find his death certificate. His daughter is still living and in good mental health and she tells me I have the correct death date and city. What should I infer from the Dept of Public Health not being able to find his death certificate? He was Catholic and attended St. Patrick's Church in Urbana. Is it likely they would have funeral records? THanks for any help. Jennifer Auten
