I My mother has always spoken fondly of the Deutzman's and now in her 86th year speaks of them more often, reminiscing about their school days at Royal. If anyone connects with this family, please would you contact me??? I would love to be able to tell my mother a little about what happened to her "best friend" Katie and Katie's older sister Christine. I'm not sure of the spelling, but the Deutzman family lived in Vermillion Co.,IL during the years 1916 - 1923. My mother and her family ( my WEVER ancestors) were neighbors to them at that time. She has always told me they lived "between Ogden and Royal" and I know that a cousin of hers was born in Fithian in 1921. My grandfather's military registration was mailed to him at Ogden, Champaign Co.,IL; however the card itself gives his address as Ogden, IL, precinct 1, county of Vermilion, state of IL (so you can see why I'm sending this to both lists) The WEVER families returned to Indiana in 1923.
