Searching for information on Nicholas SCHAEFER (SCHAEFFER, SCHAFFER) and Eva SCHUNDELMEIER. Nicholas Schaefer was from Germany (possibly Meissenheim, Germany). Eva Schundelmeier (b.d. 6-Aug-1864) was from Nunevor, Germany. The two settled in Champaign, Illinois, and were married there on 14-Apr-1890. Known children are Mary Carl, Lena Carl, Rosa Morrow, Minnie Johnson (b.d. 21-Mar-1894, born in Champaign), Anna Myers, George, Albert, Edward, & Fred Schaefer, and Freda Schaefer (who was deceased before 1917). Some of the family later moved to Carroll County, Iowa, where Eva died on 15-Jun-1917. It is not known what happened to Nicholas (who moved back to Germany and started a second family there) or some of the children that stayed in Illinois (Mary, Fred, and Freda who possibly died there).
