    1. [ILCASS] Nancy BATTERTON death record
    2. Lance L. Piatt
    3. Dear List Members, I am in search of a death record for a Nancy BATTERTON who was last seen living with her daughter Samantha WOOLRIDGE in Richmond, Cass County, in 1860. Her broken tombstone was found in a field in what is now called WOOLRIDGE Cemetery, in Menard County. The bottom half was broken off and never recovered and believed to be lost forever. The tombstone of William WOODRIDGE was also recovered and restored. Regards, Lance

Finch but I haven't been able to find anything except Nancy marrying Francis Redding in Morgan County and she was listed as Nancy C. Dunaway. I found Jesse civil war record from Illinois and it showed where he died in Jackson Co. Tennessee. Nancy Redding is with her brother on the 1880 census in Mason County Illinois and then her and Francis listed on the 1900 & 1910 census in Cass County. If I could just find that marriage to Jesse Dunaway it would really help. Since I can't find them on the 1860 census him being married to Margaret first could be right. Thanks for trying to help. 3. I'm not looking for a name - there is a list of burials online. I'm trying to find out who owns it.It appears it is very close to, or part of, the Jim Edgar Panther Creek Conservation area. There wasa church on it, or adjacent to it on the east at one time. I will call the courthouse and ask. Here are the ones I found between 1837 through 1933. Bartholomu Hofstetter married Phenny Lake 9 Aug. 1853 Frederick Oberhake married Maria Hofstetter 12 Dec. 1866 John C. Dobson married Belle Hoffstetter 6 Jan. 1878 Frank Hiser married Louisa Hofstetter 15 Oct. 1885 Christ. W. Hofstetter married Mary Schmidt 1 Aug 1889 I find no listing for Goben in any marriage book we have published. I also looked in all the cemetery books we have and do not find the name of Goben in any of them. You might check on http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~ilmaga/index.html which is Morgan County Area web site which is http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~iljaghs/index.htm I think there are Goben's in that county which is just to the south of us.
