Belva's mother died in childbirth. My grandfather (Belva's son) does not know Belva's mother's name. But he does remember that Belva's aunt was married to a Gillespie - and that Belva 'went by' the name Gillespie as much as the name Ross. Belva married Samuel Harrison 'Harry' Nesbitt. They are both buried in Mt Carroll. I found Belva living with Isaac and Emma Gillespie in the 1900 census. I believe Isaac's first wife, Matilda White, is Belva's maternal aunt. Do you have any info on a sister to Matilda that married a Ross? I am also interested in info on a Gillespie (possibly a banker?) who invested in a cattle venture with Harry Nesbitt.Your response is greatly appreciated and I am willing to share what little info I have.
