Ogle Co. line is only about 3-4 miles east from Rock Creek and Lanark. Adeline Twp. is about another 10 miles further west.Several of these families(Ilers, Myers and some Harmons) did end up in Carroll Co., mostly Freedom, Rock Creek and Woodland Twps. I will check other sources and see if I can find the John Harmon that your are searching for.
