Cummings, who moved to Mt. Carroll from MI in 1850 (likely to stay with family). He didn't stay long, marrying Caroline Brown in 1853, and going off to California to look for gold. I'd like to find out if any Cummings are still in the area, or Browns, for that matter, who are related.
