Jerry: If your folks said that your family was connected to the Rev. War Vet William Slick, then Jeremiah Slick b 1822 must be connected to that Slick family somehow. In my e-mail dircetly to you I explained how there was an error in those who had achieved DAR membership via a Philip Slick who turned out to be Philip Slick, Jr., not the s/o William Slick. Even so, I'll bet that Jeremiah was the s/o Jacob Slick=Margaret Otto, with Jacob dying young. Anyhow, I'll keep working on that idea. Geo
