I have a John Hinkle and Lydia Hinkle who helped start a one room school in Norton County KS in 1889. This John Hinkle had a Daughter Mary May HINKLE born in 1878 somewhere in IL. She married William B. ROE in 1894. In the 1900 KS census for William and Mary Roe it lists her parents as father born in Germany, mother born in IL. I have found no records showing relatinship John Hinkle with Lydia Hinkle in the Norton County KS area and had only found your distant relation in marriage records of IL. Know that the John Hinkle I have in KS is my greatgrandfather, as the record shows he is grandfather of my uncle. Did they only have the two childrden and did they stay in IL? Thanks
