Ogle Co. line is only about 3-4 miles east from Rock Creek and Lanark. My mother's, mother's, mother was Gabriel and Harriets daughter Alice. I was raised in Lanark, Carroll Co, IL in the area Gabriel and Harriet moved to, and raised their family. Many of the Sarbers are buried in the Lanark Cemetery and nearby Evangelical Cemetery. I still have family in this area and plan on going back to Lanark,Il later this year to do additional research. I have been working on my mother's side of the family and show Gabriel moved to Carroll Co, IL. I was raised in Lanark, Carroll Co, IL and many Sarbers are buried in the Lanark Cemetery and Evangelical Cemetery in neighboring Brookville, IL. My relatives were farmers in this area, and many relatives still live in the Lanark, IL area. However, we moved to Dallas, TX in 1955. Sometimes the Stultz is spelled Stulce. Abner and his brothers Lewis, James and several others were born in PA and migrated to Greene County TN, then to the Birchwood area (James, Roane, Knox and Hamilton County). I don't know of a Susie but I do have a Suzanne. If you have a birthday or birthplace, or father's or mother's name I can see what I have. What area was your great-grandmother from?
