I was glad to see the creation of this list as I have a genealogical puzzle involving Bureau County. I am researching the Binge family, in particular George Binge who came from Yorkshire England. He settled in Brawby (which I understand was a former name for Neponset) He and others in the area came from the Brawby, Yorkshire, England. I have a copy of his will which was drawn in Buearu County on 8 Nov 1862. In it he named William Norton of Brawby and Thomas Grattidge of Mineral as co- executors of his estate. The will was witnessed by George Norton and John Stabler. The final settlement of this will was made in March of 1874 when the assets were distributed to his nieces and nephews in Yorkshire, England. He died in Neponset and is said to be buried in Neponset Cemetery. Does anyone have any information on this man or his property ? He left what appeared to be a generous estate for the times. His money went to relatives in England. His Illinois property went to his nephew, John Binge who lived in Walnut Creek in Knox County. I welcome any clues, hints or suggestions for additional research locations. Diane Binge Kirkwood Stuart FL
