Hello, My maternal g-grandparents immigrated to Bureau County from Italy between 1890-1900. I had (mistakenly) assumed they must have come through Ellis Island, however some research has indicated they might have come through New Orleans and travelled up the Mississippi. Does anyone know (or know of a resource) for Italian immigration either to Illinois or Bureau County specifically? Thanks.
