Sorry I can't lend much light on this except that George Norton was the brother of my gg grandfather Robert Norton, who died young in an accident in Barren Grove. The Norton family were also from Brawby and established the Methodist Church in Neponset. I found on the list of Voters and Taxpayers of Neponset Township in 1877 the following BINGE listings: Binge, George, a farmer Binge, John, a farmer so it is clear there must have been more than one George if yours died in 1862...that's about all I came up with in my limited items at hand for Bureau County...
