Hi List, Wanted to post this site if you are looking for info on Civil War ancestors: http://www.ancestry.com/ancestry/search/cwrd/cwrd_index.htm The 26th IL Inf. was formed from many Bond Co. boys and I found a couple of my family listed there. I had no luck in putting in their names for a search, but when I put in the Reg. and searched the 26th, was able to find the ones I wanted by looking at it page by page. There are 135 pages to go through, so it takes some time to search. While there, I found a William Bilyen from Mulberry Grove who I suspect was William Bilyeau that married Martha (Rench) Powell, the widow of Robert Powell. The only thing is according to dates I have, William and Martha married a month before Robert died while in the service. Also it showed that William was busted from a Sgt. to a Pvt. and then was discharged on the 22 of Aug, 1864. The marriage between William and Martha I show was on Aug 1, 1864. There seems to be some discrepency. Anyone on the list have info on this family? Linda Garrett
