To Jim Smith, Yes there was a Bunch-Hopton marriage. Is this a Bingo! the first day I am on? I am descended from John Hopton, Sr. and his wife Harriett Stubblefield. mar. 8 April 1813 in Madison Co. IL. Their eldest child and only son was John Jr. His first wife was Frances Bunch. I am from the second wife Julia Ann Dewey. I have the Bible of John Hopton Jr. John mar. Franky Bunch in Dec. 1834. Their children were: Sarah mar. Andrew Jackson Allred; Harrett Elizabeth; Aaron Albert; James Enoch; and Frances Ellen b. 3 Oct 1844, mar. Jim Wildes, or Wiles. Franky died 7 Oct. 1844, so cause of death is obvious. I have never tried to find her parents. I do have that she joined Shoal Creek Presbyterian Church, after her marriage.
