The residence columns on several pages, from different regiments, repeatedly show Millersburg, Bond County, IL. I noticed that the list of towns on the Bond County GenWeb page does not mention Millersburg, nor Baden Baden. According to GNIS, the only present-day Millersburg in IL is in Mercer County. The family was in Christian County in 1850, and upon marriage the children spread out into Carrollton, Greene County; Jamestown, Clinton County; Nokomis, Montgomery County; and Pocahontas/Greenville/Baden Baden, Bond County. One of the wives was born in Colllinsville, Madison County. These localities are all fairly close together compared to Mercer County. Can anyone tell me if the people taking the information for the muster rolls were just wrong, or was there once a Millersburg in Bond County? Thanks! Sue Draper lowlandr@gdi.net
