Hi everybody!! I am a new subscriber to this list and this is my first posting to this list. I am going to start with what I know: Rhoda Brooks was born Apr. 18, 1850 at Rose Hill, Jasper Co., IL, she married William Kendall Nelson on Aug. 18, 1872 at Newton, Jasper Co., IL, and she died Jun. 24, 1911 at Greenville, Bond Co., IL, buried at Campground Cemetary, Bond Co., IL. I know that her parents were Thomas Brooks and Sarah (last name is unknown to me). According to the 1860 Jasper Co., IL census: Thomas Brooks was 48 years old and is wife was 44 with a listing of Thomas' birthplace as Ohio while Sarah's birthplace was listed as North Carolina. What I need is parentage and ancestry of both Thomas Brooks and his wife Sarah. Any information would be greatly appreciated. I can supply descendants and lines of descents off this marriage.
