The Cairo Public Library's Genealogy Section has most if not all of the cemeteries in Alexander County cataloged with the locations and a list of those who are sleeping in them. Since my father was from Diswood (located sort of between Olive Branch and Tamms), the Lindsey Cemetery sounded familiar but I cannot remember it's location at this time. If you plan on going to visit or search, this is the right time to think about going since most of the rattle snakes and copperhead snakes hopefully will have gone to bed for the winter by now. One of the tools that I have been using for a couple of years when I go searching cemeteries and find my kin is a Global Positioning System (GPS) so the location of the graves will be known in the future, especially on some of the ridges in Alexander County.
