Glanced through the History & Families of Alexander County and didn't find a John Hodges born in 1847. Can you give any additional information about John? Denise

My wife and I are still in the process of transcribing the 1880 census, the name Hodges does ring a bell but I don't recall in what context. I'll see what I can find. Vanessa, do you know where in the county? That would help a bit.
