In the book on Alexander, Union, and Pulaski Co., I found a E. B. Garaghty, son of Eugene Garaghty, a prominent farmer and grocer from Cape. Although his age doesn't match up exactly, I am wondering if this could be the Edmond B. Garaghty who married Eliza Hutton in 1884. Eliza was Eliza J. Robbs, daughter of James and Catherine Randolph Robbs, who lived in Alexander after the Civil War, until James's death in 1872. I can find no record of her earlier marriage to Hutton at this time, although I have his name from a cousin. Also, Garaghty's 2nd wife died in 1881. The book gives his birthdate as 1840, which would make him 44, not 41. Is anyone familiar with the Garaghty family. Sharon
