I have a lot I have put together but no proof I'm on the right track on some. My Leroy P. THOMAS b. 1827 TN married Catherine CRUSE b. 1832 IL, (dau of Moses CRUSE and Margaret MILLER) and had: James 1849, Albert 1852, Mary 1855, George 1858, Lucinda Alice 1861, married William James WAREING William 1866, married Kate HAZELWOOD Susan 1870 and Minnie 1871, married Lou HOUSTON, William ALLEN, Jacob LITTLETON I believe that Leroy is the brother to Charlton C. THOMAS b. 1828 TN married to Emeline CAUBLE-PARKER b. abt 1831 IL she was married to William PARKER and had one known son by him William PARKER, Charlton and Emeline THOMAS had: Amanda A., b. 1854, might have married Patrick WELSH Calvin S., b. abt 1856 Francis A., b. abt 1858, probably married Ella DAILY Ida Bell, b. abt 1866, might have married Lewis THOMAS Both Leroy and Charlton were on the 1850 Census living with a William WHITAKER/WHITTAKEN b. abt 1823 IL and wife Jane b. abt 1807 TN, I believe this Jane is mother to Leroy and Charlton, I have no proof though. IL marriages online has her as Mrs. Jane THOMAS in her marriage to William WHITAKER. From census records William and Jane had one child together, Milly or Milla R. WHITTAKEN/R. But then on the 1870 census Leroy THOMAS has a Jane WHITTAKEN age 2 living with him, I don't know how she fits, if at all. Any info on any of these would be most welcome, Thanks, Karen King
