I am George's great-granddaughter. My dad, Lonnie Henderson, passed away on May 6, 2003 in Mt. Vernon IL, in case any other Alexander County people are reading this. I have traced the Henderson's all the way back to Scotland, so it is indeed just a myth. So, we are cousins of a sort! Lem used to come for Sunday dinner at my grandma's house, I believe.
