I think I'm on to something here... There's a Hazelwood cemetery somewhere south of Elco with some Whitakers buried there (according to an Alexander Co. cemetery book I found). I drove there last week but couldn't find anything. It's about 2 1/2 hours from me and I'm going back down there this weekend to look. Thanks!
